Recognizing Enough

We often hear the phrase, “I will be happy when….” With the conditioning of modern society, it is easy to fall into patterns of striving, setting lofty goals and grasping for idealized futures. What is “enough” quickly dissolves into blind ambition, and suddenly we lose sight of everything that we have in the present moment. This heart opening practice is focused on cultivating what the yogi’s call “Santosha” or contentment. Through gratitude practice, we rediscover all that exists and shift our emphasis from future to present.

This grounded yet energizing heart opening practice involves twists, bounded half moon, and an optional chakrasana or wheel pose (with bridge or supported bridge modifications).

Suggested props: 2 bricks.
