THE LAND & NATURE OF GREECE

In the cradle of ancient civilization, where the whispers of history echo through majestic landscapes, Greece emerges as the perfect tapestry for a transformative Ayurveda and Yoga retreat. Mani is a Mediterranean gem, adorned with azure seas, sun-kissed beaches, and the remnants of mythic tales. With diverse landscapes of mountains, seascapes, olive groves and endless horizons lends its wisdom in balance, spiritual renewal, and holistic wellbeing.

Ayurveda, with its emphasis on mindful nutrition, finds a culinary haven in Greece's Mediterranean diet. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients burst with vitality, offering a feast for the senses. Olive oil, the liquid gold of Greece, becomes a symbol of nourishment and vitality. Fruits, vegetables, and herbs imbued with the essence of the Mediterranean sun become the palette for Ayurvedic chefs to craft meals that balance the doshas and tantalize the taste buds. The Greek table becomes an altar for mindful eating, a celebration of flavors that resonate with the principles of Ayurvedic nourishment.

WOMEN’S RETREAT: SISTERHOOD AS SANCTUARY

Nourishing Shakti is a gathering of like-minded souls that will tap into the unique energy and strength that arises when women come together in a supportive, compassionate, and nurturing environment.

Women's spaces provide a platform for sharing collective wisdom and lived experience. Steeped in ancestral tradition, the power of sitting in circle and storytelling offers a transformative space where women can learn from each other's journeys and gain insights that contribute to personal growth and understanding. Women’s spaces can support freedom of expression, creativity, self-discovery and a strong sense of identity. The power of gathering in women's space lies in the recognition that there is strength, healing, and empowerment in unity. We co-create the fertile ground for individual and collective liberation — a testament to the profound healing capacity that lies within every woman.

Forge meaningful connections with other incredible women and support one another on your individual paths to empowerment. The bonds formed in our time together will extend beyond the duration of our gathering. They contribute to the creation of a community of strength where women can continue to uplift each other in their daily lives.

At the heart of Nourishing Shakti Retreat, empowerment unfolds as the unique tapestry where self-discovery, sisterhood, and wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga converge, creating a masterpiece of resilience, authenticity and self-healing.

We invite anyone who identifies with the female experience to join.

AYURVEDA & SELF-HEALING

As we weave a story of resilience and beauty, Nourishing Shakti is a sacred journey, guided by the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda which invites women to embrace the transformative power within and embark on a holistic voyage toward self-healing.

At the heart of Ayurveda is the recognition of individual uniqueness, and the Women's Ayurvedic Retreat embraces this truth wholeheartedly. Here, every woman is celebrated as a masterpiece, a canvas painted with her own hues of experiences, dreams, and challenges. The retreat's holistic approach acknowledges that true healing begins with understanding one's unique constitution, or doshic make up, and tailors its offerings to honor the diverse needs of each participant.

PILLARS OF AYURVEDIC PRACTICE

  • Dance of the Doshas

In Ayurveda, the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—form the elemental dance of life within every being. The retreat becomes a stage for this dance, a harmonious rhythm that, when in balance, fosters well-being and vitality. Through learning about Ayurveda, women embark on a profound exploration of their doshic composition, gaining insights into their inherent strengths and areas that crave balance. It's an invitation to dance with one's doshas in a symphony of self-awareness and self-love.

  • Nourishment as Medicine

Ayurveda views food not merely as sustenance but as medicine for the body, mind, and soul. The Women's Ayurvedic Retreat becomes a culinary exploration, where participants indulge in the alchemy of Ayurvedic cuisine. Locally sourced, seasonally appropriate meals are crafted to pacify and invigorate specific doshas, igniting the inner healing fire. Through mindful eating, women not only nourish their bodies but also cultivate a profound connection to the earth, the source of sustenance and healing.

  • Rasayana & Rituals of Renewal

Ayurvedic rituals, rooted in tradition, become a pathway to renewal. Partake in Ayurvedic self-care rituals that cleanse, rejuvenate, and honor the body as a sacred vessel. We will explore nourishing face masks, body scrubs, aromatherapies and self-massage practices as acts of self-love. Through Rasayana or rejuvenation practices, we will embark on a journey of renewal and restoration for body and mind.

YOGA OF THE DIVINE FEMININE

Tend to the temple of your body and reconnect to your essential Self through the Ancient practice of Yoga. Yoga is not just a physical exercise but a spiritual journey. In the Women's Ayurvedic Retreat, the yoga sessions are curated to honor the divine feminine energy inherent in every woman. Asanas, pranayama, and meditation become a dance of self-love, inviting participants to reconnect with their bodies, minds, and the sacred feminine energy that flows through them. It's a journey within, a celebration of strength, flexibility, and the inherent power of the feminine.

Our morning yoga practice is a solar-infused vinyasa to inspire embodied awareness and intuitive discovery. Expect a grounded yet dynamic flow of breath and body unfolding in presence. Practice blends together deep intention, asana, pranayama, kriya, mudra and mantra with alignment principles woven throughout.

Evening practice includes lunar-inspired gentle movement to restore, replenish and invite sacred rest. We will wind down the day with a blend of yin, restorative, gentle yoga and or yoga nidra.

Whether a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, all are welcome.
