TESTIMONIALS

Asana Practice

“Gaby is an extraordinary teacher in so many ways. First, I would like to share that I have taken classes for more than 15 years with so many teachers in the Bay Area, but also went to studios in NYC, Paris and Spain. I learned and I am still learning so much from teachers I love, like and dislike.

To me Gaby is a generous teacher. She shares all her knowledge with the yoginis and yogis to benefit the entire class. In her sessions, Gaby brings the philosophical and physiological aspects of yoga in clear juxtaposition, which to me are very important to understand one of the many concepts of a real Yoga practice. The way Gaby expresses herself during her sessions not only shows her knowledge, but also her passion and devotion to her practice and her teaching.

Usually she relates the practice with many subjects about our daily life, our relationship with our inner being and our direct connection with nature and one another.

Gaby is able to challenge your practice with compassion, love, encouragement, positive feedback and from a nonjudgemental place. Her undogmatic and accepting personality spreads in the room easily, creating a tolerant and permissive energy among the yogis and yoginis.

Gaby is very approachable and listens to concerns, doubts and questions attentively. She is able to identify what are everyone’s strengths and will guide us to achieve our highest potential.

I felt inspired by her teaching and always made a point of coming to her sessions, despite of my busy and restricted schedule. So inspired I felt that I am getting deeper in my learning and practices and stepping into becoming a Yoga teacher myself. Gaby also gave me feedback and encouraged me to make the jump just when I needed support and strength.

Gaby skills are endless. I have had the fortune to benefit from a few of them during her sessions and a few beautiful conversations. I can not wait to explore with her the Ayurvedic realm, which she is very immersed into.

In summary, Gaby is an extraordinary teacher, guide and support with an exceptional energy and knowledge.”

“I have had the joy of being a student in many of Gaby's asana classes over the last few years.  I feel like I come away from every class with a gift: a new way of viewing my world, a fresh transition in my yoga practice or a greater sense of compassion for myself and others.  This winter I had the pleasure of attending her Womb Wellness workshop which looked at women's health through the lens of yoga and Ayurveda.  Gaby shared so much wisdom and I went home equipped with a toolkit of ways I can nourish myself and a newfound hunger to learn more about Ayurveda.

I am deeply grateful for the gift of having Gaby in my life.”

“I really love Gaby's practice. It's the perfect way to start my week. I particularly like how she opens her practice with her own reflection and intention and also her invitation to participants if they have anything they'd like to work on (and then somehow incorporates that into a 50 min class!). Just very appreciative of her as an instructor.”

RETREAT EXPERIENCE

“My first yoga retreat was with Gaby in Nicaragua at Apoyo Lodge. Her retreat was called the Beloved Spirit Yoga Retreat and I learned so much about yoga, meditation, pranayama and of course self love. She lead activities that taught us the art of letting go and embracing new beginnings within ourselves. Our retreat was filled with warmth,  laughter and openness that brought everyone so close together. Gaby has such a soft and welcoming demeanour, and when we first met it felt like I had known her my whole life. Her retreat helped me find myself at a time when I felt particularly lost and it is the reason I've made yoga part of my every day practice. I'm so grateful for everything I learned on from Gaby and can't wait until her next retreat.”

“Simply put, Gaby is an exceptional human being. Her love and desire to make the world a more beautiful place are evident in the way she lives life. I attended a retreat in Nicaragua that Gaby co-hosted. It was amazing, just what my body and spirit needed. Everything was perfect, down to the tiniest detail. Everyday was filled with soul nourishing yoga, food and activities. I returned home a much refreshed woman, ready to take on the world. I also gained a new friend whom I cherish still today.”

WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE

“Gaby is truly present, intuitively grounded and knowledgeable of Ayurveda in ways that go beyond book learning - you can tell this is part of her practice. She is also so kind, loving and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Every class Gaby made a mandala alter for the class and started us with a centering meditation. This ritual and other extra touches (like bringing fresh flowers to each session) made the class experience sacred and rich. Her style of teaching is very clear, attentive and interactive. I appreciate how she integrates textured teaching and learning styles: talking lecture, in-class experiential exercises, questions and answer space, and take home practices. This was a wonderful blend. I felt very held in the class experience.”

“Gaby is a devoted teacher. She is committed to providing healing through yoga, sacred women's circles, retreats, and Ayurvedic classes. Gaby is exceptional because she finds inspiration in her students, from truly living the principles she teaches, and the belief that we each can each heal the world when we begin healing ourselves.”

Ayurvedic Counseling

“I was fortunate enough to meet Gaby on my 3-week Yoga Teacher Training immersion program in Costa Rica. She was our Assistant Teacher and Ayurveda Counselor. Before my program, I didn't know too much about Ayurveda but was excited to learn more. I scheduled a meeting with her to get my personal Ayurvedic assessment and I'm so grateful that I did. Gaby has a very kind and comforting soul, she's patient, listens without judgement, and is very knowledgeable about Yoga and Ayurveda. She helped bring a deeper awareness of my every day life to identify any imbalances of the mind, body, and soul and then prepared personalized recommendations to aid in bringing balance to my life.

Things have truly opened up for me since then and I can never thank her enough!”
