In this experiential course, we will explore self-healing practices through our senses. Each session is a mix of lecture, practice, collective discussion and group coaching. Health is deeply nuanced and individualized. Part of this course is a reclaiming of your body’s inherent intelligence and reconnection to self-trust, discernment and intuition.
This course is open to the all. Whether you are new to Ayurveda + Yoga or a seasoned practitioner, a healing artist, or mental health professional looking to deepen existing wisdom, you will walk away with tools to empower your own self-healing and vibrant living.
A ritual kit is offered & includes Ayurvedic tools to support integration of our lessons and bolster your everyday wellness routine. Together we will explore diet, food and herbs, how to create aromatherapy blends, the practice of self-massage for your Dosha, the use of sound and mantra for balance, pranayama, meditation and more. Through the course you will create a holistic plan for vibrant living. Ultimately this journey will guide you down a path of discovery, sacred self-care and self-love. FAQs
-
I encourage folks to join live for the community support and engagement to help process the materials.
That said, the course is hosted on the Teachable learning platform and is designed to support self-paced learning. Recordings of the live session are uploaded immediately after each session. We’ve had many students in the past watch the recordings on their own time, but still be able to engage by asking questions that are typically addressed in the next session.
-
Absolutely not. This course is intended to offer support to anyone who wishes to refine their relationship to personal health from a holistic perspective - incorporating principles of balance in mind, body and soul. I do my best to make this vast knowledge digestible and accessible (and always welcome feedback to improve it :).
Those who do practice or teach yoga may find that Ayurveda deepens their understanding of yoga. The two are considered sister sciences in the Vedic tradition.

It’s up to you and your capacity. Time outside of the designated class sessions can range from an additional 30 minutes a week to 2 hours.
Examples of opportunities to engage with Ayurveda outside class include:
Exploring a daily meditation practice (gradually building up time from 5 minutes to 20 minute practices)
1-2 ayurvedic rituals to implement weekly (ranging from 2 minutes to 15 minutes, 1-3x that week depending on the ritual).
Optional reading which includes one of two recommended books and a course manual (designed to reinforce what we already cover in our sessions).
Optional resources to dive deeper, which include a collection or articles, podcasts, short video clips on topics for those who want more.
For those seeking the yoga teacher 20 hours continuing ed, those extra 14 hrs outside our course sessions are granted under the assumption the student does most the integration practices and an additional assignment to submit.
-
The Ayurvedic Foundations for Wellbeing Course is eligible for 20 Yoga Alliance continuing education hours. 9 of these hours are met through our 6 live class sessions (which you may also watch the recording of if you cannot attend live). The remaining 11 hours are met through weekly integration exercises, practice and one assignment.
The assignment is purely for understanding of the material, making it applicable to your own lifestyle, and is intended to be fun. I’ll explain the assignment in greater depth come Week 4.
Once I receive your assignment, I’ll provide you with a certificate of completion and mark the course as complete in Yoga Alliance.
