Yoga For Climbers | Hip Mobility & Balance

Welcome to the Yoga For Climbers Asana Series. These practices are created to support rock climbers’ physical and mental longevity on the rock. We explore postures for strength and flexility, breath work as a bridge between body and mind, and mindfulness as a pathway to engaged presence. Whether you climb or not, I encourage you to join as these yoga practices are nested in the greater teachings of Yoga.

What to expect: We move through hip opening poses that explore mobility including warrior 2 virahbdrasana, skandasana side lunge, yogi’s squat malasana and pigeon. We work on stability through standing balance postures such as tree pose vrksasana, figure 4 chair and transitions.
